Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR) is a form of Psychotherapy (also known as group counseling). In this format, clients with mental and/or emotional challenges learn skills to function within their communities. Topics can include relationships with family, friends, and coworkers and often assists clients in achieving personal satisfaction. Clients that are referred to this group undergo an assessment to determine current condition, skill level and level of social functioning.
The PSR therapist will work with the client and family in order to develop a treatment plan that promotes restoration and development of skills and abilities that are essential for independent living. The goal of PSR is to restore or develop basic daily living skills, social skills and/or vocational skills that are currently limited. If you have a loved one, or child 12 years or older, who is experiencing difficulties in home, school or in the community, please request to speak with our PSR coordinator.
